Cushman & Wakefield sells 110,000 sq. Ft. Office building to Metropark

Cushman and Wakefield said it recently sold Centra, a 110,000 square foot Class A office building located at 186 Wood Ave. S. in Iselin.

Andrew Merin, David Bernhaut, Gary Gabriel, Ryan Larkin, Kevin Carton and Todd Elfand of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller, Hampshire Management Co., in the transaction. The buyer was Opal Holdings LLC.

“We are delighted to have found the right buyer for this exceptional investment opportunity,” said Merin. “Centra is a high performing trophy asset that is anchored by high quality tenants and is strategically located in the region’s desirable central business district, making it an exceptional investment for new owners. “

This recently remodeled, LEED Platinum certified five-story office building has been redesigned by an architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates. Located in Metropark, Centra’s modern design complements its top-notch amenities, which include a full-service cafeteria, fitness center, conference center, and full-time on-site concierge and security.

Centra is currently occupied by the tenant companies JPMorgan Chase, Mass Mutual Life Insurance and Grant Thornton. It is located just 10 minutes from the Metropark station, which provides commuters with direct access to the New York Penn station as well as the Acela service from Boston to Washington, DC.
